TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.  CONTRACT:

No contract shall exist until a booking form and payment (in full or a deposit) is received by us, either online or by post.  Entering into a contract with us constitutes an explicit acceptance of and agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

2.  PRICE:

The price of each event includes participation in that event for the number of hours specified in the event details; handouts and other learning materials as described in the event details; an event attendance certificate; and mid-morning, mid-afternoon and mid-evening refreshments (as appropriate to the event's duration and timing).  The price does not include extra tuition, individual consultations or meals (unless specified in the event details).

3.  PAYMENT:

You agree to make full payment of fees to Praxis-PPD by one of the following methods:

a) with your online booking - via PayPal utilising your credit or debit card.

b) by cheque(s), made payable to 'Praxis-PPD', accompanying your printed booking form.

Provision for instalment payments for events of more than two days duration is explained under individual event details.

4.  CANCELLATIONS BY US:

We reserve the right to cancel an event in the face of circumstances beyond our control.  A full refund will be given promptly but no liability will be accepted for consequential loss(es) of any kind.

5.  CANCELLATION BY YOU:

Should you need to cancel, please inform us immediately by phone.  Your decision must then be confirmed in writing.  Whilst we would wish to respond sympathetically to cancellations, our resources are limited and the following charges will apply:

If we receive your written notice:-

42 or more days before the event start date, whichever is the greater of £25 or 25% of the total event price is payable.  Amounts paid by you in excess of this will be refunded.

Between 41 and 28 days before the event start date, 50% of the total event price is payable.  Amounts paid by you in excess of this will be refunded.

Between 27 and 14 days before the event start date, 75% of the total event price is payable.  Amounts paid by you in excess of this will be refunded.

Less than 14 days before the event start date, the total event price is payable.

6.  SUBSTITUTIONS:

Booked participants should notify us at least 72 hours before the event start time of the name and details of any substitute attending in their place. 

7.  ALTERATIONS BY US:

We shall endeavour to fulfil all necessary administration procedures and meet all event commitments effectively and efficiently.  If the need for alterations is imposed upon us by circumstances outside of our control, we shall maintain the same high quality of service provision whenever possible.  We reserve the right to alter arrangements and programmes (including changes to event dates, timings, venue, presenters and others contributing to the delivery of an event) because of factors beyond our control, or because we consider it would improve or enhance their effectiveness and/or quality.  We shall inform you as soon as possible of such changes.  No liability will be accepted for consequential loss(es) of any kind.

8.  HEALTH, FITNESS & FIRST-AID:

If you have a health problem which may interfere with your ability to take part in any event which you are considering, you should consult your GP and act on her/his advice.  It is your responsibility to be adequately fit.  First aid supplies, and trained first-aiders, cannot be guaranteed at all times and any treatment will only be given with your consent.  Be sure that you have any specific personal medication with you.

9.  DISRUPTION:

In the unlikely event that a participant should behave in ways which cause disruption to and/or distress for other participants, then the presenter/event leader has the authority to challenge, confront and ultimately to exclude the person in question from further participation either temporarily or permanently.

10.  COMPLAINTS:

We hope and intend that you are entirely satisfied with and enjoy each and every CPD event that you attend and we shall take seriously any complaint that you may have.  Should you have cause to complain, please raise the matter in the first instance with the event leader/presenter.  Problems can often be remedied quickly if raised promptly; failure to do so will adversely affect any claim at a later date.  In the event of continued dissatisfaction, the complaint should be made in writing.  Praxis will investigate fully and report back to you as rapidly as possible.  We agree to refer the matter to an independent mediator should this become necessary.
