Issues concerning CPD:

www.hpc-uk.org/registrants/cpd/faqs
- this link connects you to the CPD section of the Health Professions Council website which provides information about requirements imposed upon, and obligations to be followed by, currently regulated practitioners, e.g. counselling psychologists.   As regulation creeps ever nearer to many 'helping professionals', this additional layer of statutory compliance is new territory with which we must familiarise ourselves!

www.bacp.co.uk/learning/cpdandreg.php
- this link connects you to the BACP webpages relating to CPD requirements and online learning provision.

Information and training websites for therapists:

www.psychotherapy.net
- a California-based e-magazine edited/run by Victor Yalom, to which subscription is free - often containing useful and stimulating articles, interviews, and video snips.  They make their money from selling training videos -- of which they have a vast range.

www.couplesinstitute.com
- another US-based website, having a single focus (improving relationships) but with two perspectives: one addresses itself to couples themselves, the other to therapists.  Both 'sides' of the website offer articles, audio programmes, videos, books, teleseminars etc to their respective audiences.  A free monthly blog/newsletter from Dr Eliyn Bader can be subscribed to.
